Team India is all set to introduce the 1992 World Cup Retro jersey against the Australia tour which will take place in the last week of this month. However the big tour will start from November 27 following 3 One day matches, 3 T20’s and 4 Tests till the January of next year.
Now the Indian cricket team is rumoured to be wearing a ‘retro’ jersey. On the other hand Australian cricket team revealed their ‘indigenous jersey’ for the upcoming T20I series against India.
And now it is said that Indian cricket team donning a ‘retro’ kit in both of the limited-overs series (T20Is and ODIs) on the tour of Australia. The Indian squad has already flown to Australia in customised PPE kits and masks. And have already landed in Australia.
Virat Kohli & Co. will ditch the traditional sky-blue kits against the Aussies this series. And wear the navy blue coloured kit. They will then undergo quarantine in Sydney. That is before the first ODI between the two teams. That will take place at the SCG on November 27, 2020.
The ‘retro’ themed jersey is expected to be a lot similar to the 1992 world Cup strip that the Indian team wore. Other than the colours, another aspect that will be changing on the jersey is the name of the kit sponsor. Earlier, the kits were being sponsored by Nike but now MPL Sports has replaced the famous sports brand Nike.
