As promised , the makers of Adipurush today ( January 19) treated their fans to an update about the film. Directed Om Raut took to social media to announce that the motion capture of the film has begun.
The muhurat of the film will be held on February 2. Sharing a photo himself with his team of VFX experts, the director made the announcement. Adipurush is based on the life of Lord Ram and stars Prabhas in the titular role. Saif Ali Khan will be seen playing the role of Ravan in the film.

WHAT DO WE KNOW ABOUT ADIPURUSH?
Adipurush is an adaptation of the Indian epic Ramayana that revolves around the triumph of good over evil. According to Hindu mythology, Lord Ram is also addressed as Adi Purusha. Prabhas will be seen playing the role of Lord Ram in Adipurush.
Saif will play the role of Lankesh, the demon King Ravan, in the film.
As far as the female lead Is concerned, there was speculation that Kiara Advani and Keerthy Suresh have been approached for the role. However, Team Adipurush is now planning to rope in Kriti Sanon.
Prabhas’s Adipurush is reportedly being made on a massive budget of Rs 400 crore. According to the latest report, while many filmmakers are trying to reduce their budgets due to coronavirus pandemic, Om Raut has decided to go big with Prabhas. A large part of the money will be spent on VFX, which will be an important part of the film. Adipurush will reportedly be shot entirely using the green mat technology seen in several Hollywood films.
The makers have roped in VFX supervisors of Avatar and Star Wars to work on the graphics of the film. An official announcement regarding the cast and crew will be made soon.
