Richa Chadha an Indian film actress best known for her work in Fukrey Series. Now Richa Chadha has shared the first look of her upcoming film ‘Madam Chief Minister’.

After debuting in a small role in the comedy film Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! (2008), she worked as a supporting actress in several films. Her major breakthrough was a supporting role in the film noir gangster saga Gangs of Wasseypur (2012), where her role as the bellicose and extremely foul-tongued wife of a gangster earned her a Filmfare award. Her sole foray into mainstream cinema has been as a supporting character in Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela (2013).

In 2015, Chadha made her debut in a leading role with the drama Masaan. The film got a standing ovation when screened at the Cannes film festival.

She continued to receive universal success with her portrayal of Bholi Punjaban in 2017 comedy Fukrey Returns, which proved to be a major critical and commercial success. She later got critical acclaim for the biopic Shakeela (2020).

Richa Chadha is coming with a political dram film directed by Subhash Kapoor, “Madam Chief Minister”. The film stars Richa Chadha in the lead role. The film’s official announcement made by Chadha on 12 February 2020. The film is shot in Lucknow all through November and December in a straight start to finish 40-day schedule. The film is schedule for theatrical release in India on 22 January 2021.

Madam Chief Minister is a “gut shaking political drama” that also features Manav Kaul and Saurabh Shukla. In the first look poster, Richa Chadha can be seen sporting a never seen before look – short hair, intense expression with bruises on her face and holding a broom in her hand. The tagline on the poster, which also shows Manav Kaul and Saurabh Shukla, read: “Untouchable, Unstoppable.” Madam Chief Minister, which revolves around the story of “an untouchable who hustles and makes it big in life”.

Sharing the first look poster, Richa Chadha wrote: “Glad to present to you all, my new movie #MadamChiefMinister, a political drama about an ‘untouchable’ who hustles and makes it big in life! Out in cinemas on January 22! Stay tuned!”.
