Angad Bedi after hearing about boycotting his upcoming film, Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl on social media because it stars the nepo kid Janhvi Kapoor in lead role has spoke to the media. He said that it’s unfair to the entire crew of the movie, because if the movie is boycotted, their journey in the film industry may end.

The actor quoted “We all are trying to put bread on the table for our family. Yes, this is a celebrated profession, but it is like just any other profession also. If you talk about boycotting, you’re talking about robbing off our livelihood. I don’t think that’s fair. We get paid to act.”

“I don’t understand why a film like Gunjan Saxena, which sets a great example for the youth of our nation is being boycotted by the netizens. If a film like this is going to be in a position where it can be a great example to the youth, why would you boycott that?”, added Angad.

Angad about Sushant’s demise

“We have lost such a gem of an actor. To have this backlash is wrong because tomorrow when we put ourselves in the same position, this is not how we are going to respond or react. It’s important to be sensitive to each other.”

Boycotting of star kid’s movies started after the sudden demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput on June 14. After that netizens were angry against Karan Johar and also all the star kids who were launched by him. The reason behind this is that if Star kids get every opportunity than talented outsiders like Sushant who work day and night may get unnoticed.

On the other hand netizens are also set to boycott Mahesh Bhatt’s ‘Sadak 2’ which stars Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapoor in lead role. Sadak 2 is all set for a digital release on August 28, but netizens doesn’t seem interested in watching the movie as Mahesh Bhatt is however connected to Sushant’s death.

Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl stars Angad Bedi, Pankaj Tripathi, Manav Vij, Vineet Kumar Singh and Janhvi Kapoor in lead role. The film is directed by Sharan Sharma. The film will stream from August 12 on Netflix.
